These are the awards for 2025!
The Manhasset High School student who was awarded the WWOM Scholarship for 2025 was Cristian Diez.
His community service began when he was in seventh grade. Cristian volunteered in the Challengers Baseball organization that assists children with disabilities. Cristian worked ten weeks in the spring and fall.
At Manhasset High School, Cristian’s extra curriculum activities for the Manhasset High School Tower Yearbook included editor in chief, designer and photographer. Cristian also served in Manhasset High School Ace Mentor Program and Manhasset High School Backstage Crew.
His previous employment included working as a TA for Adventures in Learning and working as a CIT for Camp Speers in Dingmans Ferry, PA.

2025 Award
Dr. Marilyn Kleinberg
Dr. Marilyn Kleinberg received the Working Woman of the Year Award for 2025. Marilyn is an extremely accomplished Doctorally Prepared Nurse, Educator, Researcher, Administrator, Wife, Mom as well as a valued and contributing member of our community.
Marilyn received her Undergraduate and Master’s degrees from Adelphi University and her Doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a full professor at Adelphi University College of Nursing and Public Health. Her practice focus is Community Health and Mental Health Nursing.
Marilyn has penned several books involving Community Health Nursing and Mental Health, Journal articles and invited papers, grants and presentations. Marilyn has served the Manhassset Community over the years, being involved in many school and community endeavors. Presently, she is the Chair of our WWOM Scholarship Committee, she is politically active, she serves on the Adelphi Women’s Giving Circle which funds scholarships, and also serves on Nursing Professional Boards. During Covid Marilyn called on Manhasset home bound individuals to assist them to stay active and connected.
On a personal level, Marilyn and her beloved Bernie have 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girls; 2 amazing daughters-in-law, and 10 grandchildren. We know that Bernie is looking down from Heaven with much pride and love.
